

Cantus Ensemble on Classic FM
At 11.30am on Friday 23rd October, we were delighted and humbled to hear our recording of Rebecca Dale's "I'll Sing" being broadcast on Classic FM. The piece is taken from Rebecca's Symphonic Suite "When Music Sounds", which we recorded in Abbey Road Studios in February this year. We were blown away by not only how beautiful it sounded, but by the incredible response: we reached no.3 on the Classical Music Singles Chart! The decision of what to study at University was something I deliberated on for a long time. When it came to having to choose between Music and Biology, it was Biology that came out as my first choice. My reasons centred around the fact that, having gone through musical training, I would never forget how to use my core skills, much like riding a bike (although I suspect Sir David Attenborough may have also influenced my decision somewhat…)! Music & Cake: Best bits of Cantus
When I moved to London three years ago, I was looking for an opportunity to make great music with people my age. My friend had been a member of Cantus for a year and had mentioned how it was a fun choir that not only sang to a high standard but that also always made their own cakes for their concerts...! Seeing this as a great platform to share my award-winning lemon drizzle cake with the people of Greater London, I auditioned. Am I glad I did. Over the past three years, I've
